Commending American Legion Post 150.
Agreed to by the Senate, June 22, 2026
WHEREAS, American Legion Post 150 of Sterling, a post within the largest veterans service organization in the United States, has played an outsized role in advocating for and supporting veterans, service members, and military families; and
WHEREAS, American Legion Post 150 holds a number of annual events and fundraisers to advance its mission of serving the veteran community and active-duty servicemen; and
WHEREAS, for 50 years, American Legion Post 150 has cared for and maintained a veterans memorial at Sterling Boulevard and Holly Avenue in Sterling; and
WHEREAS, every Memorial Day, American Legion Post 150 honors our nation's veterans with an event at the veterans memorial, providing the community an opportunity to reflect upon our veterans' courage and sacrifice; and
WHEREAS, in honor of the memorial's golden anniversary, American Legion Post 150 is leading a fundraising campaign to support repairs and restoration of the site, ensuring that it will continue to inspire generations of Americans for another 50 years; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That American Legion Post 150 hereby be commended for its legacy of service; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to American Legion Post 150 as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's admiration for the organization's contributions to Sterling and the Commonwealth.

$20.00 per rider; $10.00 per passenger; $5 for each additional hand
The ride is approximately 100 miles throughout Loudoun County, VA.
Riders must arrive at all stops and be present to win.
Prizes and Raffles will be conducted at Jimmy’s after the ride.
